Stockley Farm

On a team day out to Stockley Farm this past week (click here for Stockley Farm's great website) we noted with amusement our Sales Manager Duncan finally met his equine self. Duncan the pony was feeling a little shy though so we only got a hindquarters shot in. However, we found out that the erstwhile steed wasn't just feeling bashful or hiding a trendy mane. The poor fellow does have something in common with his namesake after all!

Bless Duncan. I have a shetland pony who has the same condition and hates wearing her fly rug. In order to prevent her from constantly rubbing on the fencing, we put up some electric fencing which she cannot rub on. I also use a homeopathic spray remedie containing aloe vera and eucalyptus on her coat. The flies seem to leave her alone now. I also hang fly tape in her stable.
