The problem with the HOYS website (Horse of the Year Show) is…

We’d been watching HOYS with interest – particularly as our sponsored rider Abbie was interviewed by Sky TV sporting one of our latest hoodies. We’ll be adding an ‘As featured on Sky TV’ flash to the site sometime when we can get round to it...!

We felt a little removed from the action relying on the TV coverage, so have been trying for most of the past week to go onto the HOYS website and have a surf. However it keeps returning a ‘Server Unavailable’ error. Not such a great thing when you organise such a big event, populate your website with all the up-to-date information, and then during the week of the event……no website. Oops!

Today we had a look and some bits of the site were working, some weren’t. Hopefully they’ll get it sorted for next year, we expect others share our browsing frustration!

Stockley Farm

On a team day out to Stockley Farm this past week (click here for Stockley Farm's great website) we noted with amusement our Sales Manager Duncan finally met his equine self. Duncan the pony was feeling a little shy though so we only got a hindquarters shot in. However, we found out that the erstwhile steed wasn't just feeling bashful or hiding a trendy mane. The poor fellow does have something in common with his namesake after all!

Rain, rain, go away...

The past two horse shows we've been due at have been cancelled due to flooding, as has the forthcoming Wirral Horse Show. Our thoughts are with anyone who has been affected by the flooding in late June, including anyone in the Equestrian community and the North of England.

At Horsey Chick HQ we've now banned anyone from singing in the rain, in the bath, in the shower, speaking about rain or indeed any activity which could be linked to a rain dance in any way. Roll on (a proper) summer and a chance to dry out and head back to normal...
