Royal Mail postal strike update

We've had confirmation that the industrial action scheduled for the week of 15th October is NOT now going ahead.

This means deliveries should be taking place daily this week. However we do advise there is still a backlog of some mail noticeable, so thanks for your patience, as it'll take some time for Royal Mail services to return to normal.

Royal Mail industrial action

Horsey Chick currently mail orders to customers via Royal Mail Special Delivery. We state delivery of orders within 3-5 working days (UK) and within 8 working days (overseas).

So far this year we have achieved a service level of 97% of orders mailed to customers within less than 3 working days. Far from resting on our laurels, we continue working to improve on this.

As you’ll be aware, there has been industrial action by Royal Mail employees recently which has led to a delay of a few days on delivery of our orders. We are in contact with Royal Mail about this and are advised of further strike action occurring during the week of 15th October.

We are assured that Special Delivery mail continues to be a priority throughout the period of disruption. Royal Mail have well developed contingency plans, and will do all they can to deliver Special Delivery items on the due day. Horsey Chick shall continue to dispatch in our usual timely fashion.

Thank you for bearing with us.

The problem with the HOYS website (Horse of the Year Show) is…

We’d been watching HOYS with interest – particularly as our sponsored rider Abbie was interviewed by Sky TV sporting one of our latest hoodies. We’ll be adding an ‘As featured on Sky TV’ flash to the site sometime when we can get round to it...!

We felt a little removed from the action relying on the TV coverage, so have been trying for most of the past week to go onto the HOYS website and have a surf. However it keeps returning a ‘Server Unavailable’ error. Not such a great thing when you organise such a big event, populate your website with all the up-to-date information, and then during the week of the event……no website. Oops!

Today we had a look and some bits of the site were working, some weren’t. Hopefully they’ll get it sorted for next year, we expect others share our browsing frustration!
